Obstetric and pelvic floor physical therapy

Hi, I’m Dr. Abigail Andres, but you can call me abby.

I am a pelvic floor physical therapist with 12 years of experience. I’ve helped countless patients recover from a variety of pelvic floor concerns. My passion is finding customized strategies and exercises that will help you live your best life so you can leave your pelvic floor concerns behind.

As a mother of 3, I know how overwhelming pelvic floor issues can be. We can work together to create a plan that addresses each issue and fits into your busy schedule. Whether it is improving your bowel or bladder control, preparing for labor and delivery, recovering from having your baby, or working to improve your pelvic pain, I’m here to help you reach your goals.

My Philosophy and Training

In all my years of treating patients I’ve come to find the most important aspect of treatment is listening. I aim to create a comfortable, inclusive, safe place for you to discuss your concerns, so that everyone feels welcome. During our conversations we will talk about all aspects of life, because you are one whole person, not just a pelvic floor! This holistic approach to healing allows me to address issues you may not have known you have, so that you can achieve your most confident and empowered self.

A word from me:

Comprehensive, holistic, inclusive, physical therapy care for pregnancy, postpartum, bowel and bladder, pelvic pain, and generalized weakness

I think there is such a beautiful connection between our bodies and nighttime. For example, during pregnancy, it is common for contractions to increase at night because of the perfect synergy of melatonin and oxytocin. What a beautiful lesson; when we relax, our body can begin to work in perfect harmony.

In our culture, the expectations of keeping up, being enough, and succeeding are at times oppressive and cruel. For some, working like you’re not a parent and parenting like you don’t work, it’s exhausting. Sometimes all we need to do is change our perspective and realize that you are ALREADY enough. So sit back, relax, and let me show you how to honor the amazing creature that you are!
